High Summer

This is the view across the marshes at Parkgate on the Wirral. In the middle of July. Yes, that’s right, July. In case you can’t tell from the picture, it was raining as well. Just not funny any more, is it?

    I just did some research on the area you mention here, fascinating! Ports no longer there, invasions, the Romans… History!!

      The Wirral was in fact a Viking settlement, too.My family are originally from around here .. back to the 1500’s at least.

        Wow, that’s great that you know your family history so far back! England just fascinates me so much. I think of England as my homeland in a way as my ancestry comes from England. Certainly on my list of places to see.
