Middlesbrough Medley

by gordonmichaelsutton

Finally the sun was shining in Middlesbrough so I grabbed my car keys and camera and headed out to see what I could find.

I’d heard about Middlesbrough’s famous old transporter bridge – one of just a handful in the world – but wasn’t expecting it to be framed by a piece of urban regeneration art. Looks quite effective if you ask me, especially as the evening sun was setting and the light was getting a little hazy.

Here’s a detail from the sculpture looking to all intents and purposes like a giant lobster pot.

Here’s my own little piece of visual sculpture using several sets of railings and the water in the dock. Yes, that water really did look blue!

And finally a little piece of accidental graffiti dribbling down a lampost on the bridge.
