Sizzling Neon

by gordonmichaelsutton

Still a few weeks until the winter solstice and it’s really getting dark very early now. There’s nothing like some sizzling, bright neon to help alleviate the gloom. Here’s a great example from Brick Lane in London.

This one’s decorating an otherwise bleak and soulless car park in Cardiff.

Step out of Euston Station in London and this cafe sign is bright and clear.

The West End theatres of London uses neon to great effect – here’s the Palace Theatre currently showing ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’.

But the big daddy of neon is still Piccadilly Circus and here it is.

This is a great portfolio of images – has an 80s vibe to it 🙂

Thanks .. they’re taken over a period of around 12 months .. and I suddenly noticed I’d been drawn to neon as subject matter. Love the idea of them having an 80s vibe : )
