Gleaming Arch in Chinatown, Liverpool
Regular visitors to my blog may remember a photo I posted of a detail of the decorative arch in Liverpool’s Chinatown, made by craftsmen in it’s twin city of Shanghai. Ahead of the Chinese New Year celebrations, here’s the arch again, gleaming in the bright sunlight of a bitterly cold January day.
There was a Tai Chi demonstration in Nelson Street but the New Year celebrations are due to start tomorrow.
Finally, here’s a close up shot of some of the detail on the arch.

Great shots. I have seen arches in almost all Chinatowns except NY. San Fran, Washington DC and so forth. It’s all good. Happy New Year. The parades are the next two weeks.
Happy New Year to you too!
